Once Upon A Time, a monkey named Deedee owned a beautiful island. It was only Deedee and her bananas that lived there, so she called the island “Deedee’s Banana Cabana Heaven”. Then, one day, humans came onto the island. They built a town and took most of Deedee’s bananas. “Those pesky humans!” Deedee thought angrily. Deedee climbed one of the trees on the island and said, “Well as long as they leave me alone, I’ll leave them alone.”
Twenty years later, Deedee was a very old monkey. She was very cranky all the time, but yet, she was happy that those pesky humans had left her alone for twenty years. Then one day, Bob, the founder of the town, realized that there was a banana shortage. Bob ordered three boys to climb Deedee’s tree, for that was the only tree that had any bananas. So then the boys began to climb the tree. Deedee saw the boys climbing the tree and got VERY angry. “Calm Down, Deedee. They’ll probably turn around.” But they didn’t. They kept on climbing. The higher they climbed, the madder Deedee got. So when they reached the top, Deedee bit and scratched them. The boys ran back to the town howling in pain.
When the boys told their story to Bob, He went to go talk to Deedee. He told her that the boys were sorry for bothering her. He also told her that if she gave them some of her many bananas, he would let her live in his town. Deedee agreed. Two years later, there was another banana shortage. The people went crazy looking for bananas. But, Deedee never told them about her secret Banana Store.
