“Welcome! Welcome, welcome, welcome to Rosebud Diner! It's so great that you're here! Did you know we just opened?”
“Yes of course you did. But I bet you didn't know that you're our very first customer. That's right, the first one! This is so exciting.”
“Please, take a seat. No no, not that one, it's not nearly as good as this one. Yes this one is the best. Maybe we can name it after you! It can be the place of honor from now on.”
“Here, have a menu. Chef is just dying to cook up the very first Rosebud Diner meal ever. Pick something, anything! I'll go get you some coffee. Or maybe a Coke. Or both!”
“You say you'd like the roast beef sandwich? Well well, that's a pretty safe call. You know, Chef's chicken salad sandwich is to die for. It's his personal favorite. I bet he'd love it if he could make that for you as the very first Rosebud sandwich ever served. But no matter, he'll be fine.”
“Oh you say you'll take the chicken salad sandwich? Fantastic! Chef will be so happy.”
“While we wait for your sandwich, tell me all about yourself. Are you married? Kids? Live close by? I'm just dying to know all about you, our first customer ever!”
“What do you do for a living? I bet you're a doctor. I can just tell. You have that doctor look. I bet being a doctor is nice. All that money and stuff. You could be eating at a nice steakhouse right now instead of just little ol' Rosebud Diner. But I must say, having a doctor as our first customer is quite impressive!”
“Oh, you say you're a plumber? Well that's just lovely. Plumbers are important people. Yes indeed.”
“Do you need more Coke? Why, you haven't touched your coffee yet. You can't be a good first customer without coffee. Drink up!”
“Oh, here comes your sandwich! Oh my, somebody get the camera! Wait, go back and bring it in again, we have to film it!”
“That's beautiful. Beautiful. Hold it high like a good waitress. Lovely! Now put it down gently, right in front of him. Smile! Yes, you smile too, it's your sandwich! Beautiful!”
“Now you can take a bite. Is it good? Is it? It is? Wonderful! I knew you'd like it! Now let's get a picture of you with your sandwich. Smile, give a thumbs up. Yes! We can print that and hang it above the cash register!”
“Do you mind if we watch you eat? No, of course you don't. I can tell you're really enjoying that sandwich. I'll have to tell Chef what a success it is!”
“Oh girls, don't just stand there and stare, you're making it awkward! Maybe you can stand behind him so he doesn't have to look at you. There, much better!”
“Girls, look at the expression on his face! That sandwich must be delicious! One of you run and get Chef so he can see this!”
“Finishing already? You ate that fast, you must have really liked it! More Coke? Coffee? Oh, you need to be going? So soon? What a shame!”
“Here, let's get a picture in front of the cash register. Perfect! Oh, a credit card? I was just thinking how nice it would be to have a bill we could frame or something. Just for memory's sake. You have one? Perfect!”
“Oh I'm so sorry to see you go. Just think, our first customer! Be sure and come back often!”

“Welcome! Welcome, welcome, welcome to Rosebud Diner. Here, have a seat. You know this is our fourth month in business! Isn't that exciting?”
“Who's in the picture above the cash register? That's our first customer ever! You know, he got the Chef's special chicken salad sandwich. I still remember it like it was yesterday. He was a nice man, but a little strange.”
“It's odd, he never came back. He must have moved.”
