Dear HomeSchooling Friends,
To sit and sift through pictures,
each its own clear memory,
to laugh over one,
cry for another;
Beloved faces gone till eternity.
To recall long past birthdays,
painful, without rejoicing.
from one year to another
a quiet, gentle turning,
far better to leave those in Memory.
To walk through the rooms,
in which one grew up.
Remembering the good,
pushing behind the bad,
so little remains - sad but true.
The new things stick out,
they don't belong.
I don't know you
but I see your face, in black and white
and brown and grey
and yellowed paper,
torn, frayed
I don't know your name
But your pen has etched words between pages,
half-read, half-wondered,
smoothly curlicued
Hello there!
and Muskaka Avenue
I don't know you,
but there are weddings, deaths
communion, baptism,
flowers
I don't know your name
but there's someone smiling
up from brittle pages,
and a tiny television set, brand new
and black and white,
I’ve been thinking and isn’t it funny how the preteens/teens on apricotpie have odd pictures. I really like odd pictures to but I’m not creative enough to think of some that haven’t already been thought of! lol.
Here are a few users who have odd pictures: Tamerah, Moira, Anna [who has the one of her blowing a bubble and then her in her room it appears on a skate board in a cluttered room with a electric guitar] and Mathew’s is just plain silly [I actually like it] but I’m sure there are more I don’t know about.
