Chapter Ten

“GIVE HIM SOME SPACE!” Iris said, pushing her way in. She looked at the man carefully. A long thin cut, spilling blood was on Julius’s head and his arm was slightly burned. His face looked so peaceful, as if he was finally at rest.

“You’re not going to give up on me that easily,” Iris whispered. “Pika, go get my satchel!” The boy rushed to her tent, with its singed edges and smell of smoke. He retrieved the satchel and returned it to Iris.

“Here,” he said.

Forgiving Emily

I think the hardest part about forgiving Emily was the fact that she didn’t trust me.

I can still remember that day clearly. It had been vividly burned into the back of my mind.

It all started when Emily started acting strange. She even started chewing her nails again. We all knew (Derek Morgan, Penelope Garcia, Jennifer Jareau, Aaron Hotchner, David Rossi, and me, Dr. Spencer Reid) that something was wrong. But of course, we were too afraid to ask, and even if we did, she only brushed it off.

Living Out Love

I’d see them every Sunday morning as they drove into the church parking lot. He’d drop her off by the front door, and then she’d wait for him as he went to park the car, greeting whoever was at the front door with a sweet smile and warm hug. Then as he’d lumber up to the entryway, he would reach out his long arms for a giant, heart-warming embrace.

Flowers and Ashes

The sun set high on a cloudless sky
And a breeze o’er gently furling waves
Is starkly set against a group that is met
With tears and attempts to be brave.
Out on the sea that for others bring glee
Go the solemn and reminiscent band,
Of those who know one man whose now aglow
With the glory of the Father’s hand.
Passing the waves with faces grave
Until the small boat is stopped,
And a friend who was dear to the one spiritly near
Stands to speak as the boat gently rocked.
He was a great man, he was a dear man,

End World

Imagine the earth.

Imagine looking out over the horizon. Imagine trees and birds. Imagine laughing rivers, massive oceans and expansive skies.

Now, imagine it all gone.

Imagine a dead world, where rock and dust replace the once lush plains of the world we used to call home. Imagine a planet scorched by the flames of a red sun. Everything is cold.

Lowercase Ramblings

1. Freckles
you have a lot of freckles
i had never been close enough to notice
they all kind of join together
i like them

2. Oops
i thought i was over you
seriously, this time
but she said you were cute
and i wanted to claw her eyes out
oops
here we go again

3. Well Okay
letting go
is harder
than i thought

4. Oh Well
i can miss you
with all my might
but you won’t
miss me back
it’s okay
no big deal
i’ll keep missing you anyway

Goodbye Burt

*NOTE* This is weird, slightly creepy, and not for everybody. I would say it's PG or PG-13 (it contains some social drinking of alcohol and a very bizarre plot that I won't tell you because it would spoil it) Anyway, please critique!
