Letters to Goodbyes I

Aunt Jess raised me, and when I was little I thought she just had a bad memory. She often struggled to monitor me, from asking me to turn on the oven twelve times straight to forgetting, in the car, that she was driving me to the library for a school project.
Such a smile like the sun.
Blinding the heart
For love is blind
And I love you.
Such beauty as the stars
Sparkling on the ground
For they fell out of the sky
As I fell for you.
Such eyes like a river
Swiftly moving and never
Returning what they have taken;
You took my heart with you.
Such distance like a wall
For we are forever apart.
Though you're within my grasp
I cannot touch you.
If you want to hear a girls heart break
Say you love her and walk away.
You'll hear the cracking, you'll see her shake
But shell still tell you she's ok.
If you want to hear her fall apart,
To hear her sobbing silently
It isn't hard to rip out her heart.
Now just sit and watch her bleed.
