Dripping and Unclosing
*A/N* hey! I wrote this a while ago, liked it, and after fixing a couple of things, decided to post it. Hope y'all enjoy!!!
Lonely words fill empty nights They glimmer soft, like candlelight To pour upon pages my sad heart’s doubt Until these weak lights flicker out
I love to see a sunset!
A sky not just blue
but orange, green, and russet
yellow and purple too!
The sky is briefly colored-rainbow
Colors stretching around earth's bend
With beams bright or mellow
It has not rain or even end!
No end to color in the sky
But brief is the medley's stay
for eventually they must bid good-bye
Night overtakes the day.
(This is a song that the dwarves sing in a book/story I’m writing….anyway, it’s dwarven!)
“Back from the mines
We are now coming.
Our day’s toil is done
For the sun is now leaving.
To here and home
Our tread is bearing.
Outside the land might be battling,
But here we keep gay and merry
As we come from the mines.
Yonder the moon is rising
Waving farewell to the sinking sun.
Here at day’s ending,
And night’s beginning,
*Okay, sorry I've taken so long! Anna, I have been working on this all these months, I assure you, and now I have the first chapter up! I've been having horrible writer's block on this one. Finally, I long handed it in the middle of my kitchen and I think it worked! I hope everyone enjoys it! -Erin*
Heart, heart, heart
Beating, beating, as a clock
Tics nearby upon a shelf
Throb, throb breathing lungs
Moon traces down a path
Drip, drip, those saline eyes
Now, now, stop, stop…
I saw your eyes grow and pause
You passed from dark to light.
