It was evening of the next day. Adelaide was restless. She could not forget the visible strength of the man who had saved her. It frightened her. Never had she seen a soldier of such built and such serious demeanor. Revocatus, assuredly, possessed grave features, but his presence bore warmth. And Lawrence was gentler and his gravity came from something deeper within him. She dreaded the meeting that was to occur that night.

I'm sorry I didn't post sooner. I've had quite a bit going on, so I wasn't able to write as much as I wanted to. Not only that, but I'm a bit of a procrastinator... Anyways, I've also changed a few things in the first chapter, because I realized there were a few inconsistencies. I hope ya'll enjoy this chapter, and hopefully the next will be out sooner than this one was :) If anyone has suggestions, criticism, or whatever, please tell me. Anything to improve!

Wraithbane---Chapter One

I know I'm going out on a limb here, since this tale isn't finished. But I fully intend to finish it, even if it does take a while. This was the 2010 NaNoWriMo novel I started, but never got far because I was trying to finish another story. If anything seems confusing, please tell me about it. I've written it in a way where not everything is going to be explained right off, but if you have any questions, please ask me :) Hope ya'll enjoy it, and the next chapter should be up soon

Deep Within My Eyes

I see that same old face in the mirror But the face has changed somehow Something’s there that wasn’t there Beneath my puzzled brow I frown as I examine What, to my surprise Has suddenly transformed Deep within my eyes  They are still the same color They have not grown in size But now I hold a secret Deep within my eyes Their gaze has turned to hardened stone The fire behind has died There is a sad reflected soul Deep within my eyes

But I can't see into him and he turns away to face the open road.

“Never ye mind. Ye'll tell in yer own time I'm sure. Why do ye think there ain't been a soul here to snatch us all to the queen's delightful company?” It is clear that this conversation is closed for now.

“Probably because every time any soldiers get near us, they are sent running in terror from Annie and Danielle.” I and Isaias chuckle a bit and then I fall silently into thought.

Fit the Seventh: The Pickler's Secret

The rain passed over, and each one of the group
convereged at the top of the hill
with the pumpkin on top, smelling like soup
which was making them green at the gills

Each one looked around, and was thus introduced
to the new members and friends
even though they were wary of the dragon (but who
wouldn't be, if they had any sense?)

Percival Pink turned a bit red at the cheeks
when somebody mentioned his name,
and the Painter looked thoughtfully mind and meek
as he pondered his future of fame.
