There once was a man named Obama
Who caused our whole country some drama
He just nodded and smiled; the people, meanwhile
Wondered why they'd elected Obama

There once was a fellow called Biden
Whose smile continued to widen
'Til it covered his face, oh what a disgrace!
And that is the tale of Joe Biden

I sat on my couch, wathcing TV
Where history was being made for all to see.
The inclement weather did not stop the sound
Of people cheering and gathering all over town.
For the old was going out,
New was coming in.
Everybody was in anticipation
Both women and men.
The forty-fouth president of the United States
Was to be sworn in on this very date.
Here he comes and his family too
Everybody waiting to see what he will do.
But first there is music
Piano and all.
And then he stands up,
