Chapter IV
Where Has the Gang Gone?

“I have an idea of what we should do tonight,” Carrie said as they sat on their bed, just after getting home.

“Whats is it?” Sally asked.

“Tonight,” Carrie replied. “We'll sleep outside again. I'll sleep on one side, out of sight, and you and Callie sleep on the other side, in sight. You can see just what happens, and we'll also know if they come up on your side, then at some time they spy on us to see which side we're on.”

“Say, Carrie! That's a great idea!” Sally said approvingly.

Chapter III
Suspect Mr. Jones

Callie woke up to wailing. She rolled her eyes.
“I wish whoever is doing that blasted wailing would knock it off,” she thought. “I can't barely sleep what with all the noise.”

She laid back down. After not being able to go to to sleep, she picked her blankets up and went in side. She lay down on the couch but couldn't sleep.
“I wonder who is pretending to be a ghost. And I wonder why you can't hear the wailing when your inside and the windows are closed, but outside its as clear as day?” She said quietly to herself.

Chapter II
Mr. Jones Comes Over

Sally was the first to wake up with a jolt. She wondered what had woken her up, and was had just laid back down, when she heard the slow, mournful wailing again.

She was just closing her eyes, when a figure emerged from behind the mountain, several yards in front of her, its back to her. Sally sat bolt upright.

“Good night!” She gasped.

She shook Callie, then clamped a hand over her mouth so she wouldn't cry out in surprise, and Sally pointed.

Chapter I
Wolfpen Ridge
Twelve year old Sally Freeman ran into the house, slamming the door behind her in her hurry to get to her mother.

"Mom?" She called out excitedly.

At that moment, she ran into her mother, nearly knocking her over. "Whoa, there!" Mrs. Freeman exclaimed, laughing. "Whats the big hurry for?"

i had never been close enough to notice
they all kind of join together
i like them

2. Oops
i thought i was over you
seriously, this time
but she said you were cute
and i wanted to claw her eyes out
oops
here we go again

3. Well Okay
letting go
is harder
than i thought

4. Oh Well
i can miss you
with all my might
but you won’t
miss me back
it’s okay
no big deal
i’ll keep missing you anyway

1. Eternity
If I’m to live forever
I should pray that you will, too
Because, dear God, I wouldn’t want to live

2. It Was a Bad Day
Maybe all these big girl dreams aren’t for me after all
Maybe I wasn’t born to go to college and get married
Maybe I wasn’t made for the usual course

Vivid flashes of sunsets and freedom
I looked out into the horizon and remembered

And I smiled.

If this is what the future looks like
I can’t get there fast enough

Three months later...

Nick appeared in the living room with a smile on his face that would have put the cheshire cat to shame. "Hey guys!" he yelled.
"What?" shouted Meg.
Nick jumped on a chair. "Everyone get in here!"
