Dreams
Grey mists,
Swirling round,
Hiding horrors,
Disguising fears.
Bright lights,
Gay colors,
Highlighting joys
And showing wonders.
Many shades of
Washed-out blue,
Dark and chilling,
Unveiling a thousand
Regrets.

Hiding horrors,
Disguising fears.

Highlighting joys
And showing wonders.

If one could die from a smile
then I am in the grave
and if a heart can stop from a glance
oh, mine is not so brave
if just a smile can make this girl weak at the knees
how shall I stand a kiss?
I won't I suppose, no matter my pleas
my legs shall indeed collapse
and why if he's mine
does his glance make my heart flutter
I know he is indeed
but my heart still starts to stutter
his smile makes my cheeks flame still
and I can't stop myself from smiling at him
I get up wilst the earth still hides the life-giving sun.
It is ever so dark, to rise from my warm bed so early is truly not fun.
But I roll out to touch my feet against the freezing concrete that is my floor.
It is abominably chilly on my feet.
My toes curl, desperate to retain heat.
But I get up, just to see him.
I know he will drive up to the mountains with us.
And so I wake while the earth is dim.
I get ready with excitement, I start to rush.
I do not wish to be late,
For mayhap today, he'll ask me on a date!
They gather when the fields are green,
beneath the golden sun,
they gather in the meadow,
ready for some fun
They run amongst the grass,
waving above their heads,
they skip into a circle,
and gladly, catching hands:
they hop to the left and spin to the right,
they sing their happy tunes,
while others play the fiddle and fife
upon a gray mushroom
In and out they weave around,
threading through the daisies,
Up and down they dance around
to the skies music is raising
I shall miss your utter stupidity,
even though it used to annoy,
I shall miss you living under my bed,
even though you chewed up my toys
You made me feel safe,
and hid during thunder,
You jumped on my bed,
and messed up my covers
You smelled and you shed,
you barked constantly,
you tore up the carpet,
(who cares, it was ugly)
You were a nanny,
a wolf, and a babysitter,
a reindeer, a horse--
(a real derby winner)
