Okay, so i wrote this at the begining of my first year of college (or last October). It was originally supposed to be a song but i could never come up with music for it so i decided to pass it off as a poem. It talks about how God erases the Darkness from our hearts when we ask him inside our hearts and he takes over and saves us from "Our Dark Light". It's not the greatest poem in the world and in truth i is poorly writen but it's what i felt. So without further to do please enjoy, Dark Light. (Leave me your thoughts and comments even if they are harsh. :D )
DARK LIGHT
Down in the darkness of my heart,
My soul rages on and on.
Soon I will be consumed by night.
Swimming, Drowning, Treding,
In this dark light
My heart races faster
As you draw nearer to me.
I see you coming my way
But a thought looms in my head.
Will you forget me?
I’m down here on my knees
And I can barely breathe.
I need you here with me
Come in my heart please.
I can feel you beside me.
Oh God, I can’t breathe,
Since you came inside me.
You have erased this Dark Light
Deep inside of my heart
And now I’m laying down this fight.
Comments
Yes.
Yes. Pretty much. I only took out what would have been the lyrics to the first course which were pretty much like the end section of the poem. They were just in a negative form instead of positive. Or rather they cried out as a plea for help.

Hi Rakio
This is really good - I think it ends a bit abruptly, but that could just be because I wanted more. lol
