Whispers

Submitted by Keri on Sun, 12/07/2008 - 06:07

Something whispered quietly
Quietly
Quietly
Something whispered quietly if only I could hear it

Someone's heart was broken today
Broken today
Broken today
Someone's heart was broken today if only I had noticed

Somehow lives were changed yesterday
Yesterday
Yesterday
Somehow lives were changed yesterday if only I paid attention

Something whispered in my ear
In my ear
In my ear
Something whispered in my ear now things are going to happen

The Harbor

Submitted by Tamerah on Sun, 12/07/2008 - 05:56

The harbor winds played foreign tunes to those which I was used to,
Whispering songs that to me were unknown, about places they had passed through.
Lightly they swept across the land with weathered fingers and gentle hands
Bringing tales of sorrow and joy, along with rain now and again.
I remember they smelt of evergreens and something like peppermint
And I often imagined from where they had come, and where they were going next,
Such mystery they carried in their abrasive, gentle grasp,

The Rules of Royalty

Submitted by E on Sat, 12/06/2008 - 02:12

*AN* I know, this is completely horrible and very random. Hope y'all enjoy! Lol

Here,

I show you,

The rules of royalty.

They are actually

Quite simple,

Just follow them:

Look stiff,

Keep a cheesy smile,

Walk funny,

Talk snootily in a British accent,

And, last, but not least,

Be snobby.

These are the rules of royalty,

I hope they helped you learn,

Now follow them closely,

Listen well,

And you will be queen/king of England!

SCENE: A psychiatrist's ofice.

WOMAN: Oh, Doctor! We were such a happy, unsuspecting young couple then.

DOCTOR: Unsuspecting. Hm... (writes something down, almost idly)

WOMAN: Yes. Unsuspecting of the trouble that was about to strike us.

DOCTOR: Yes, madam, you've yet to tell me what this trouble was - or is.

Far Off Worlds

Submitted by Bernadette on Thu, 12/04/2008 - 02:57

To far off worlds I go
To Middle Earth I’ve been
Ever since I was young
Daily I travel
I know the way by heart
I will take you there any day
I know this land like the back of my hand
To go is a delight
Though frightening things await

To Narnia I walk
I know Peter, Lucy, and Edmund
I see Reepicheep
As He pokes Eomer’s eye
As I see Caspian say Bergil is crazy

I'm over it!

She acts like what he did was physical assault,
She hung up on him,
So, it really wasn’t his fault,
She left herself with a 27 second phone call, and a broken heart.

She hides from the truth,
By covering up her mistakes with lies,
While she fakes a smile,
She covers her tears with innocent eyes.

Cold

Submitted by Hannah W. on Wed, 12/03/2008 - 02:38

The world is so cold,
so empty, so bare,
so bitter and gray
without sunny skies fair

But those skies have long gone,
they left along with you,
all the joy you brought to me
has now vanished too

The world is so cold,
like a stone, gone all numb
too dark to see where I'm going
or where I've come from

Where is my sunshine,
where is my light?
where is my heart?
when will my world be right?

That's Who I Am

Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 12/02/2008 - 22:39

You tell me to be quiet,
But, my personality is loud,
That’s just who I am,
You would know that if you were really my best friend,
I can’t help it,
And I thought you of all people would understand.

The Horse

Submitted by E on Tue, 12/02/2008 - 21:15

Muscles arch and flex.

Coat gleams and shines.

Mane flies and blows.

Tail swishes and swats.

Legs float and dance.

Eyes wild and gentle.

Ears alert and delicate.

Mouth long and moving.

Nostrils flaring and blowing.

This is the Horse.
