We are weak and human and frail.
But He has been here and walked these sands
He has made everything with His hands.
He sees the pain and can give us healing
but what do we do with our needs and feelings?
We bring them to the world, dirty as it is,
we should bring it to Christ since we are His.
We ask it for help, and He cries.
We ask it for peace, and He closes His eyes.
We ask it for freedom, and He dies.
We ask it to build us, and He sighs.
It's far from over and not too late,
He rose and is alive.
He broke through impossibility of death, cast away the chains,
and will never let us die.
He took the world, the sin, the shell, the door,
and put them on His shoulders.
He carried the lack, the noise, the weight, the lies,
and held them all through the pain in His eyes.
Though we have little faith and seemed doomed to fail
He wipes His bloodied face and shows us His promise on the veil.
Never will He neglect us.
Never will He flee.
Never has He forgotten.
Never will He leave.
Through our pain, His heart aches more.
Through our tears, His stream freer.
Through our trouble, He holds our lives.
Through our darkness, He cries our cries.
Let your heart collide with His
so that everything you do
will bear witness.
