Dear Homeschooling Friends,

Although some of you may have already inferred this from reading the comments on Ezra's recently posted poem, Shadow And Glory, I wanted to make it known to you officially. This Christmas, my brother Ezra flew across the world to the Middle East and proposed to Kyleigh, and the two of them are now engaged to be married.

This news is ApricotPie Official before it is Facebook Official, which is appropriate since ApricotPie is older than Facebook (in fact, it's older than Wikipedia!).

This is not the first time that a friendship leading to marriage will have begun by meeting at ApricotPie. This is a testament to the blessing that ApricotPie has been for over twelve years to homeschoolers across America and the world. ApricotPie has been a place where we as homeschoolers can share our works with others with this great common experience.

A belated Merry Christmas to you all, and I look forward to writing another letter in the new Year.

May God richly bless you all.

James

Wow. What a blessing ApricotPie is indeed! I was wondering how your family and Kyleigh's had met, seeing as I knew Kyleigh lived in the Middle East and assumed you guys lived in the States.

A belated Merry Christmas to you too, James. Thankyou for being editor of this amazing site, and I'm sure we all look forward to another of your letters. :)

And really--Apricotpie is older than Facebook AND Wikipedia??

God bless,

Maddi :D

Thank you for this announcement, James!
You know, a few months ago my sister was asking if we got engaged how we'd announce it and if we'd announce it on apricotpie. I told her you would probably announce something (but I was rather upset at her at the time because she worded it like we were already engaged... now I know she knew that we were going to get engaged soon because she was contacted for my ring size).

Yes! ApricotPie is an incredible blessing.

Looking forward to another letter soon.

And I am still stunned and so happy for Kyleigh and Ezra. I didn't even know Kyleigh was courting; much less courting Ezra!

I don't know who Ben was referring to, but in his second-to-last letter Ten Wonderful Years (where he announced that ApricotPie would close) he said, "We have met people through this website, formed friendships, and I think one of us even found a future spouse partially through apricotpie."   I take it, therefore, that Kyleigh and Ezra are not the first.

Out of all the wonderful things God has done through apricotpie, this may give me the most joy!

WOW! Congrats!!!!! That is absolutely wonderful! Wonderful! May you both be blessed and live together many, many, many years!
YAY!!!! This makes me giddy!

Where, indeed have all the comments gone?? If you can't fix this, wow, what a total loss!
