Out on the battlefield

Fighting endlessly on,

With a courageous spirit

He is sure to be found.

A man full of chivalry 

Kindness, and valor,

Who would give up his life for you

If it be in his power.

He knoweth not how much he's admired,

By one of the ladies who has deemed him her sire.

She sees in him a generous and honorable hero,

But she fears that her dreams will never come true.

And yet, she continues to hope and to pray,

That her dreams will be fulfilled someday.

But I am sad to report that it can never be so,

But he will always remain the man of her dreams.
