Shooting Stars

A hundred shooting stars
A wish for every one
A hundred silent dreams
That I should never want.

A thousand shooting stars
A quiet hope for each
Reminding me of all the things
I don’t know how to reach.   A million shooting stars
Lighting up the sky
Flashing in the dark
As I begin to cry.   A single shooting star
Lasting longer than the rest
The moon is going down
In the darkness of the west   No more shooting stars
But the sky is getting light
And my way begins to show
At the turning of the night   The things I thought were gone
I finally start to see
And at last I hear you say
That you love me.

I love this poem. The rhyming is perfect and it flows beautifully...I especially loved:

 A million shooting stars

Lighting up the sky

Flashing in the dark

As I begin to cry.

Good job!! :)

Thank you!  The last line - the rhythm isn't as good, but it was the only thing that belonged there.  Anyway, glad you loved it!  :-D  I find myself abnormally gleeful right now.

"I always wonder why birds stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth. Then I ask myself the same question." - Harun Yahya

I....LOVED....THIS!!!!!!!

I love every single line! But I have to say the last two lines was my favorite!

No more shooting stars
But the sky is getting light
And my way begins to show
At the turning of the night

The things I thought were gone
I finally start to see
And at last I hear you say
That you love me.

LOVE IT! It went straight to my heart! The rythme was really good, and I loved how you worded things! LOved it all the way! Through and Through!
