Wishes and Unintentional Stumbling-Upons

I've always been one for wishing,
I wonder, have you been too?
I think it's strange and very odd
But don't you dream like I do?

Stay there for a little
Or maybe I should run to meet you
Either way, promise me
Either way, I'll be true

That fragile strand of yarn
Peeking from a woman's bag
Makes me think of summertime
And laughing in the library

Tea with half a spoon of sugar
Spilt a bit over the edge
Sort of like the days when
We ate on ends of the screen

Talking of the broken bones
And healing all our scars
We're just a couple of misfits
Not really giving our hearts yet

The weather vane's pointing west
So we'll meet in a few days or so
Promises aren't worth a penny these days
Haven't you read the papers?

Funny how we keep running into each other
Even when I'm not looking for you
Migraines leave when we're together
Forget their words, this is my home

I love it, I love it. Because I always have been one for wishing and dreaming.

Amazing.
I could actually copy the whole poem into the comment because I love it all!! But I won't do that. You are amazing at this! Keep on!

Goodbye? Oh no, please. Can’t we just go back to page one and start all over again?” – Winnie The Pooh

This is so sweet. I especially loved:

Either way, promise me
Either way, I'll be true

Lovely poem!
