Tell the Children of the Forest

I stand on the shoulders of my idols
I breathe in another atmosphere
I am marked with a kiss and a blessing
The winds ever at my back

The winding road ahead is mine
The winding road ahead is new
The winding road is paved with dreams
I will never let them be regrets

I am a summary of failures
Stitched together parts
A Frankenstein of someone's creation
Yet they forgot my heart

I stand on the shoulders of my idols
The gods of their own universes
Will I rule the world with you?
Can you hear me whisper yes?

Fantasy is a dangerous road
Will you help un-blur that line?
I have the chalk to draw a new one
Poetry was an outlet

I no longer fear her
At least, when I'm with you
And we're always connected by the heart
As testament from the moon

Will you rule the world with me?
I stand on the shoulders of my idols
As testament from the moon
The gods of their universes

This was so beautiful. The imagery was great, and for some reason this really touched me. I especially loved

The winding road ahead is mine
The winding road ahead is new
The winding road is paved with dreams
I will never let them be regrets
