Drowning
Standing in a thunder storm
pelted by the angry drops,
wishing it would all stop
Staring at the dirty ground.
So alone in this world
Just me and my thoughts
So alone in this night
Just me and my dreams
The waters rising higher
My fears are all consuming
I’m left to start assuming
That my life is going to end
So hopeless on my feet
Just a drop, yet it cuts so deep
So tired of the dreary cycle
Just a day, yet it feels so long
Engulfed up to my neck
The water reaches for my nose
It’s ending without a single rose
No point in trying to swim
So lost and so alone
Just one little life lost
So seemingly ignored
Just one little mess up
Still unnoticed by the saved
The body 12 feet away, floats
From the help, from the boat
They didn’t notice the tears
Just one little yell, one warning
So easy, so simple, so undone
Just one life lost, who cares?
So the boat floats on

I love this. Especially: "So
I love this.
Especially:
"So alone in this world
Just me and my thoughts
So alone in this night
Just me and my dreams"
The most astonishing thing about miracles is that they happen.
