As the spray of the wooden shields flew through the air, Hildebrand wielded a mighty blow, swinging his scimitar over his son’s head. Ducking the strong and fierce swing, Hadubrant charged into Hildebrand with his steely vambrace posed at his father’s bare knee; and he knocked Hildebrand over. Blood covered the ground.
Hildebrand swung round his gnarly fist into Hadubrant’s eye and cheek sending Hadubrant backward after he had recovered from the blow. Stunned from this strategy, Hadubrant leapt to his feet, staggered and clashed his sword on Hildebrand’s scimitar. Hadubrant nearly lost his arm from a quick twist of his father’s sword aimed at his naked arm.
Hadubrant swerved from this stroke; then spun his sword round and with a quick jab, plunged he sword into Hildebrandt’s arm which held the scimitar; and Hildebrandt let the scimitar fall with a clang on the stone beside him.
Hildebrandt tripped Hadubrant with his foot stuck out to the side. Falling over his leg, Hadubrant received a strong slash at his face from the scimitar which Hildebrand picked up again with his left un-injured hand. Before he had time to realize what had happened to his gashed face, he was stabbed in the chest by Hildebrandt; a mightier warrior then he.
