To love a writer is to listen,
Sitting in the dark,
Driving home on a Friday night,
As her voice, small, fills your ears,
Fear trembling in the words she shares,
Afraid the piece of heart written on this sleeve,
of paper,
Will be misconstrued having left her lips,
Unable to take back with aching fingertips.
To love a writer is to listen,
With the intention of loving every word,
Appreciating the strength as she bares her soul to you,
Her muse.

As I said before, I think this is wonderful. As Homey said, atmospheric is a great word to use. Very nice.

I actually really like this,
I actually really like this, Kassady. :) I can agree with the things you say about a writer, and you worded it so well!
"Afraid the piece of heart written on this sleeve,
of paper,
Will be misconstrued having left her lips,
Unable to take back with aching fingertips."
and
"Appreciating the strength as she bares her soul to you"
above: those were just very beautiful and well-worded lines.

Lovely words, really enjoyably deep :)

This is fabulous. Really.
This is fabulous. Really. It's very atmospheric and kind of tense and, at the same time, rich and honest. It's wonderful what you managed to craft in just a handful of lines. This is some of your best, I would say! I adore it!
