I feel a flare of indignation
Oh, how I want to rise
Stand up on my own podium
With my fist raised to the sky
Shout everybody's equal
And they all should have the rights
That our forefathers didn't anticipate
Ever coming into plight
But who you are is simply who
Don't pull back on your bite
You have the freedom and the key,
The support to win the fight
At least from some, so head onward
And love the way that's right
For you, whoever earns your soul
And sets your eyes alight
Because I believe in what you dream
I believe in equal rights

I like it! :) Good message.
Edit: I had thought that it was about the fight between the races. I absolutely disagree with you on the sodomy issue. Jesus and His disciples preached specifically against sodomy.
Not just my opinion but God's law. And I know that saying that will most likely loose y'all's friendship.

No worries, Damari. I think I can speak for myself and Homey when I say that our days of debating over unresolvable issues are over, lol. I think that the majority of the people on this site aside from us probably agree with you anyway!

Agreed!! :) Thank you for your comments, again! I was just talking to Kassady today (we're friends in real life) and she mentioned how you're commenting and reading so much! It's really nice to have, especially since I can get lazy about commenting! Seeing other people giving feedback motivates me to give it more! haha!

I like this! Well written and everything :) I knew straight away what kind of rights you were talking about...and obviously I disagree because of my what my faith says, but all the while well written!
