Angry exaggerated mouth on the beast
Inside is tan on beige and
Tidal waves
Are crashing in
Bringing with them
Turns and twists and
Flips and swerves
Off the beast goes on a
Whirl taken too sharp and
The girl in the car gets out says
I'm done I'm done I'm done
And
Nobody believes her
But the witness walking her dogs is probably
Rolling her eyes
That's what the girl thinks
As she curls up in the seat
And turns her eyes down as
The liquid seeps out
I hate it I hate it so much
She proclaims
I mean it's not like she's here by sheer force
She doesn't like to come to head with something that she's
Never done before
Truthfully
A challenge she wasn't a natural at from the start
So it's a little upsetting when she's persuaded
To get back into the driver's seat
Of the car
And continue in a different area
With fewer eyewitness to catch
Her poorly executed turns in the act but
It doesn't matter
She only does
One and a half laps

The most important part is to not get the brake and the accelerator mixed up. That happened a few times, and it was unfortunate lol. It gets easier, and you're a lot more liberated when you can drive :) good luck!!

Haha! Absolutely. :) So far it's all the thought processes that's getting to me. I have to think: look, slow down, flip on turn signal, check behind me, check who's coming, turn, accelerate, make sure turn signal has gone off--it's like, almost too much. Practice makes perfect, though. Thanks for your encouragement! :) So far turns are the most difficult for me--I took one too sharp the other day and went off the path into the grass. (-_-) And someone was watching. ahhhh!! haha

I was backing out of a driveway, got the accelerator and brake mixed up, and accidentally floored myself into the ditch. So I completely understand lol. It was sooo embarassing!!!

Haha. Good poem, Homey. I haven't really identified with this, since I haven't gotten my Learner's yet. But, in the last few months, as my birthday creeps closer, I'm silently freaking out that I will have to drive on the real road. And reverse. And parallel parking. And just parking in general. And it's funny because I've always been excited about the prospect of driving, yet now I'm thinking oh dear it will actually be scary as well as exciting. Great.

This is awesome. You really captured some of the frustration that comes with learning to drive (or learning something new in general). Luckily, I never had too many problems, but there were some incidents related to parallel parking that got pretty infuriating lol.
