Not On Me

Submitted by Madeline on Tue, 12/03/2013 - 00:14

It's a feeling of being misplaced
The best way to describe it would be
I guess
Unease
Or lack of satisfaction
I'm not morose
Or upset
Or even really that sorry
I don't want to go back
At first, things are easy
Everything is a breeze
Eleven months and
Already unraveling
I think
But--at least--
Yeah
It's definitely not on me

Oh, look, I posted. The homepage has been free of my stuff for a while. (^.^) Haha. I'm kind of pleased with myself. So...yeah, this adheres to the new rules. :) So I thought I'd post it. Just wrote it quickly. Thoughts? Thank yoooou! Oh, and P.S.: I WON NANO! I am pretty happy! Not done with my book, but I hit 50k on November 30! *whew* I highly recommend it. Got me out of the poetry bug....hahaha :D But here I am, posting poetry......

I was seriously overjoyed that you posted :). I like this. And CONGRATULATIONS ON NANO!!! It's so hard. I didn't even make it pat 12000 words when I tried lol.

Thank you so much! :) On both things. It was much easier than it was for me this year than the ones I've tried before, for whatever reason. The hilarious thing is I went to this Writer's Meeting and the woman running it brought up NaNo and gave us the link to the YWP...and I said I'd failed miserably the two years before, but I thought I was going to sign up on the regular site this year and try, even though it was fifty thousand words. She said something along the line of, "Well, I would start smaller if I were you" and now I just wanna march in there and be like....

Yeah. I don't know. haha ;)

I am personally in love with Goodreads! Erin, you've got to sign up!!! And find me as well! I'm Kassady... like always ;) Haha! You can probably find me through Homey's friend list :D Love Goodreads! It makes keeping track of what books I've read so much simpler!

Write On!

You conquered Nano! Great job! I'm thinking next year I'd like to try it.
And good poem...though I'd like some fiction in the near future....
