An Ode for an Introvert

You're a thumb, you're a smidge
I've kept your crafts in the fridge
Made me laugh, made me smile
Why not sit here for a while?

Autumn fades to winter, winter starts to freeze
Freezing leads to flus, flus lead to pleas
Pleas lead to arguments, which then lead to tears
And soon I forgot your voice resounded in my ears

But, sure as spring and summer came,
You grabbed my arm and began to sing

Your song nested, like a wren,
I bind my wounds, stood up and then -
Who's that stranger standing there?
Surely you've not come to share?

News, dear, have you heard the news?
Rethink all you think is true

Shall we begin our duet?

Yes, an actual rhyming poem! :O The concept for this may or may not have been birthed while on a walk last winter....
