First of October. The men
Without noises forced two
Hands to join. Both bodies
Attached feel that the pact was
Indeed, genuine.

The small girl with funny eyes
Knew the truth. She fell faster
And faster in love with one of the
Souls in the two bodies. She cried
Into the night for her sake and his.

She knew the truth.
Her life was terminated
A mere 817 days later.
Such a pivotal date. Pity
The humans didn't notice.

The small girl passed on her knowledge
To her friend the blue-eyed leader, who
Understood the risk she was taking. The
Blue-eyed leader lives in a small house
On a lake with her husband.

The blue-eyed leader denies knowing the
Small girl. If you prod, she may tell you
Of the mysterious man in the corners.
But it is more possible she will tell you
Fascinating facts about owls. She loved owls.

There is a place, far away from here,
Where a man was laid to rest inside his
Home. Inside lies an icy body, which was
Loved by many. His eyes have been many
Colours, his lips spake many words. He was loved.

We all lose something. Some lose an object,
Some lose a person. The less fortunate lose
Their memories. Memories keep the sanity
Inside most. But they also drive out the
Sanity in others. Memories are important.

Sometimes, if you stand underneath a
Willow tree and whisper the answer to a long-lost
Question, a faerie may sing a song for you.
She may sing about a land where children
Don't get hurt and nobody goes hungry.

If you place a white rose on an unmarked
Grave, however, you may be greeted by the
Keeper of Secrets. She will explain that her title was
Passed down through the generations. She will show
You the stories that have kept her ancestors sane.

The small girl, before her death, had
Gone out to find the body that held the
Soul of the hand forced into agreement.
She carried only a knife and her will, but
Though sentenced, she died of her own choice.

Love makes the brain do some crazy things.
Love drives good people mad. But love is
Insanely beautiful. It is frightening. It is
Love, after all. One of the most powerful
Human emotions. Humans are just as frightening.
