Unrequited Love

Such a smile like the sun.
Blinding the heart
For love is blind
And I love you.

Such beauty as the stars
Sparkling on the ground
For they fell out of the sky
As I fell for you.

Such eyes like a river
Swiftly moving and never
Returning what they have taken;
You took my heart with you.

Such distance like a wall
For we are forever apart.
Though you're within my grasp
I cannot touch you.

Kit-Kat,

Such beautiful and moving imagery! Since a lot of us experience unrequited love in our lives, I think this poem is going to strike a chord in a lot of people. I love your rhythm! This is one of the few non-rhyming poems that I absolutely fell in love with! Great job! Keep up the fantastic work!

Sincerely,

Wings of Eternity

That was gorgeous-I'm glad you wrote it and I got the chance to read it :)

I just read this again, and I don't know if you ever check this site anymore, but I wanted you to know that this particular poem means a lot to me right now. I really understand it at this moment in my life, and I love it. So, kudos to you.
