Senseless
The morning doves cooed to me
On the dewy green
Lush feathers, lush blades
Beneath my naked feet
I closed my shining silver eyes
To the golden world
Which went abruptly black
And fell into a swirl
Beneath the cusp of melancholy
And the ides of grey
I’m all alone amidst the thousands
Senseless, I am prey
P.S. Not sure if the word "ides" makes sense in this poem, but it popped into my head. Feedback is appreciated!

I love this! Love love love it. Gee, I don't know. Like a sorta breathing in type fantasy world. I'm sorry, I have not a clue. But it is great.
A story, a story I hear? Bring it on, whatever it is! :D
EDIT: That made no sense whatsoever.

This sounds like so many
This sounds like so many "Christians" I have known. They have lived blithely in "faith," claiming to be so happy in Christ. But then they encounter trials and are lost, lost in the darkness of doubt, pleasures, and sin.
This probably has nothing to do with what you intended, but that is what was brought to my mind.

Thank you all for being kind
Thank you all for being kind enough to share your interpretations. :) I so appreciate it.
Lucy--LOL! Hahaha. :D
Maddi--It made sense! Definitely!
Benjamin--Cool! I'm glad it made you think of something. That's what I'd hoped.
I wrote this and then decided it seems to be about someone who gives up everything for someone--and at first everything is perfect, and kind of dreamy, but then they see they've alienated themselves from everyone but that person, and they're alone.
So! Cheerful! ;))))
Thank you!
:)
Hmm...that's a hard question.
To me, this is about beauty, senseless, prey, maybe transported into a different world of BLACK, grass, um....hmm! I dunno.
