Canto VI: Meeting No matter how many tales of wonders I’ve read I’d still be shocked if ever t’were me   I wander around the basement looking for the poetry reading “Is this the room?” I try the door   My eyes deceive   A towering ceiling with sunlight streaming in and shelves of books with a balcony halfway up a shining staircase rolls up to me “I’m dreaming I must be dreaming”   But how? I just stopped by the post office needed to tie my shoe I never dream of post offices and shoes   I smile and step on it whirls me along I nearly fall off before it stops by a row of novels “Ander Collins” I read the title incredulously “This is my story” I pull it out stare at the back cover “By Laura Springs…”   A cloud wraps the sun “What have I told you, stool?” someone booms   The stool slips out from under my feet “Owww…” I moan adjusting my glasses   A girl runs up and offers a hand “Are you o—“ She stops midword “By the Lion— Laura?”   I stand up “Bailey?” My foot slips on the polished floor I trip again “Wooo!”   “Careful there,” Bailey smiles She offers me a hand up   “I’m not dreaming”   “Nope” Bailey starts giggling “Arkn must have done this oh, Arkn…”   “Arkn?” I ask   “This is his library”   “He has Ander Collins My book Published and everything!”   “Really? Show me”   I scan the shelves “It was just here Then someone yelled and the stool moved”  I glared at the floor   “Arkn’s probably worried about timey-wimey balls I thought I saw Three Dark Roses once but it blinked out One moment their the next poof! Gone” Bailey scowls but then bursts out laughing again “I’m sorry I’m not normally this crazy --well, Anne might disagree But— this is so cool!”   “Wait— are you here? or am I there?”   “Where doesn’t matter” she quips   This is real this is not a dream a library plucked from my imagination a book I will write and Bailey   When dreams come true Where do you go first?

Arkn is BACK! And kicking, apparently! This would be so freaking awesome to stumble upon.

Caught the timey-wimey reference. ;)

I have hated the words and I have loved them, and I hope I have made them right. --The Book Thief

Due to new ideas, this canto is no longer valid. Consider it an outtake (I'll see about getting the heading changed too)
