Relapse

This childlike desire to run on my own,

Has dragged me down to a world without warmth.

Can’t walk on my own as well as I thought I could…

“Hello, hello, hello in there. I see the pain that you have inside.”

“Would you like a pill…to make you better?”

This childlike desire to run on my own,

Has dragged me down to a world so cold.

Can’t walk on my own as well as I though I could…

I lean on a brittle cane.

Unsteady,

Deformed.

Locked away with dancing pictures, talking toys, and laughing clowns.

Blaring noise.

Unready,

Rebound.

“Hello, hello, hello in there. I think that you are lost.”

“I know a way to make you better.”

“Just take one…just take one.”

This childlike desire to run on my own,

Has dragged me down to a world without warmth.

Can’t walk on my own as well as I thought I could…

Handicapped,

Lifeless,

Heartless,

And sightless;

I can’t stand…I can’t stand.

Locked away with melting walls, wilting chares, and laughing crowds.

Nobody cares.

Unclear,

Relapse.

“Hello, hello, hello in there. I am here to make you better.”

“To make you…better.”

To make me better…

I am sick.

I am dead.

I am not going to let this go on.

“Come back. You can’t stand without me.”

“You cant breath without me.”

“You can’t be without me.”

I can’t breath with this.

Good-bye…my addiction.

“Hello, hello, hello in there…”

Very real.

This childlike desire to run on my own,

Has dragged me down to a world without warmth.

Can’t walk on my own as well as I thought I could…

Love the repetition of this verse.
