6. One day   The sky was spun of silver threads The ground built by ashes The feet that walked were sad and weary The heads that thought were proud and ready For freedom The soldiers brandished swords of gold The captain a whip of ugly sins The welts on the backs of the proud and sad Made them prouder the more The ashen sand they walked Had come from blood and bones The women wept and the children cried But one girl soldiered on “One day, my people,” she said “We will be free and wild, one day” One day, they fled from the swords of gold and whip of sins Across the bony, bloody ground And ran Escaping Seven men died Two women passed One child gone The mourning was great But the joy was high For freedom   7. She Feels Perfect   She feels perfect today Singing, dancing She feels angry the next Screaming, crying She feels sad after Tears, moaning She feels happy again Smiling, bubbly She feels perfect today Flawless, Beautiful   8. Please   Please don’t leave me alone Please don’t leave me empty Please don’t leave me to fend for myself Please don’t hate me Please, I didn’t mean to Please, I didn’t want to Please, I don’t want to be lost Please, I don’t want to miss you Please, I’m sorry   9. Love from Grandma   The letter was red And pink And purple And blue And green And orange All my favorite colors Inside it was a field With a forest And a mountain And a hill And a river And an ocean All my favorite scenes It was sealed with hugs And kisses And cookies And fudge And daises And candles And vanilla All my favorite things

I liked 7, 8 and 9 the best. The first one was also good, I just didn't relate to it as much as the others. 9 was my favorite. How sweet and true!

Very nice, all of them!
