Days

The sun shivers through the clouds

It makes it presence known with a subtle glow
And then it bursts, letting light flow over the world
Sunrise

The clouds break off, their soft tails creating a mist
The deep blue sky carries the birds, helping them to sing
The grass shudders under its dew
Morning

The sun pushes higher into the sky
The clouds have melted away into the hot air
Trees and flowers hope for a drink
Noon

The shadow of the moon is seen in the sky
The pavement cools, just a little bit
The animals scurry out of their homes, hoping for a breath of cool air
Evening

The sun breaks the moon, exposing its true color
Pinks and reds dance across the darkening sky
Waves of heat are reined in
Sunset

The air is still and lifeless
The moon casts an eerie glow over the cold grass
The clouds are either gone or deeply darkened
Night

Sunrise sings a song of joy; of care and love
Morning sings a song of pleasure; a gift from above
Noon sings a song of heat; holding onto care
Evening sings a song of quiet; cooling the cold air
Sunset sings a song of happiness; a triumphet little tune
Night sings a song of hearty glow; from the gleaming moon

Mairead: Thank you! I love what you do as well as Tayme. Your work is exquisite.

Wow! This poem is beautiful! I usually go more for poems that rhyme, but this one I have to say I absolutely love! Creative imagery is my favorite parts of poetry and I believe that you captured that well in describing a day! Great work, I can't wait to read more!

In response to your last post: yes, I will read all of your works :) It might take me a bit because I am crazy with college, but I will read them. I will post a comment on them when I do!

Great job and God Bless!
