I'm extending it to five parts. I hope no one decides to strangle me (*cough Bridget *coughcough OFG*).
Part 3:
Lyre was released two days after Tifa's death, leaving an extremely unhappy Aurelius behind in the Healers' Tent. The battle still raged on, and Oriole (who was released within hours of her arrival) informed Lyre that the People were on the winning side.
It was a horrible blow. The Healers' Tent was far up at the very peak of the mountainside, so it was less of a chance that it could be hurt, so therefore none of the patients got much information of what was going on.
"Lyre, we must continue on as if we are the leading side," said Oriole encouragingly, her large blue eyes urgent. "If you get a negative aura going, there is no way we will win!"
Lyre nodded with a rather hard expression on her delicate face. To avenge Tifa, Lyre thought, staring around at the raging battle. Fire flew everywhere and many bleeding and burnt bodies strewn the forest floor, both fairy and non. It was a terrible sight, but Lyre tried desperately to think positively as she and Oriole flew down into it, Oriole brandishing a sword and Lyre clutching her beloved bow. She winced slightly as she stretched her arm forward and pulled back the string, for a sharp pain had just been sent quickly down her back and through her was-bent wing.
Lyre released the string and swiftly readied herself with another flaming arrow, carefully observing where she should aim next. Then she heard horrible death screams, and knew where to shoot.
She flew lower and to the right, where fairies were bleeding and People standing over them with bloody swords. Lyre recognized one fairy, but just barely since his normally bronze face was quickly becoming pale. Lyre furiously shot her arrow at the People, who leapt with incredible agility out of the way. Oriole wasn't far behind her. Soon Tenton--the recognizable fairy--would be dead.
"ORIOLE!! ORIOLE! FAIRIES DOWN!" Lyre bellowed behind her. Oriole, wide eyed and fearful, came flying down to the earth where Tenton and the other two fairies lyed. She scooped up a small maiden fairy, yelled for some stronger men fairies to get Tenton and the other. Relieved, Lyre didn't notice the sword that was plunging for her rib on the side with the scarred eye, not till the cold metal began to pierce her flesh, which made her scream louder than she ever had and shoot the flaming arrow towards her attacker. Then, limp with pain and shock, she collapsed to the ground silently, feeling her shallow, quick breathing, and watching her fellow Fairies fall to the ground not far away.

As much as I share your sentiments, OFG, I think we should wait until the story is over. I want to read it all first. (Besides, then we'll have even more reason to bring out kerosene and torches, and, um... pitchforks.)
