"I HATE YOU DAD!"
she hollars as she slams the bathroom door,
searching for some comfort
she opens the medicine cabinet door.

But let me take you back
to the day that this all started
that dreaded phone call from the school
which left her father broken-hearted.

He was relaxing at the house
when awoken from a dream
on the other line the voice whispered
and his whole world ripped at the seam.

A tear slowly rolled down his cheek
and hit the living room floor
thoughts racing through his mind ,yes,
you could only imagine his horror.

A teacher had discovered
while she was grading papers in class
"Oh Honey, where did that come from ?"
"I just cut myself on some broken glass."

But the truth behind the lies,
revealed a deeper meaning
someone was concerned for her
but NOTHING could stop the bleeding.

The snickering faces of the girls
that teased her everyday,
she HATED that boy that took advantage
of her body,the first time she felt true love
and gave herself away.

The uncontrollable sobbing
that ravaged her the day
her dad found out her dirty secret,
but she took it,
AND DID IT ANYWAY.

We sat outside and talked awhile
as she wished her life away,
there will always be a vivid memory
when I told her to stop that day.
