Spring

Spring is a cheerful welcome,
When pansies show
And farmers sow,
When rain grows warm
And green buds form,
Spring is a cheerful welcome.

Glad you're enjoying it, Rosie. And nice poem, too. I like the way it rhymes and rhythms (If rhythms isn't a word, it should be!).

What Clare said. I think it's lovely. I like the gentleness of it.

And, yeah, welcome to the land of the little orange fruit. I just realized you were a Dunn dunn dunn! (heh heh, that fit in nicely). Try not to be too much better than your brothers, after all, they do try.

This was very pretty. That describes spring pretty well! Welcome, come right in and join us at AP!

I liked this! Simple, sweet, and springy! And welcome to Apricot Pie!

Brother: Your character should drive a motorcycle.
Me: He can't. He's in the wilderness.
Brother: Then make it a four-wheel-drive motorcycle!

Thanks all of you,

but I will never be able to pass up my brothers.

I wouldn't be so sure...

"There are no great men of God. There are only pitiful, sorry men whose God is great beyond measure." - Paul Washer [originally Jonathan Edwards]

Oh yes you will. (no offense to Ezra and James, since I don't need to make any more enemies right now - you guys are good writers too) Nice poem, Rosie.

Ps. Welcome to apricot pie (or AP, as everybody seems to call it)!

Oh dear - more Dunns! :)
Though that should really be "Oh yay!" I enjoy your brothers' writings and comments very much. ;)

And yes, spring is indeed a cheerful welcome!
It's a pity it's almost done here - we're already getting summer weather. :(

You're kidding! Over here, we skip spring, summer, and winter and get fall all year, only without all the pretty colors. We get flowers over here, but no sun. Lucky! I would kill for summer weather.

You don't want our summers, trust me. Spring and Fall here are in the 80's and 90's, Winter is 50's to 70's, and summer is 100 - 120.
Yeah.
We don't get flowers, we do get sun, we get no fall whatsoever, and we only get rain for a maximum of 3 weeks per year.
But it's wonderful just the same.

Sounds like heaven. Jk, it's sounds a little bit too hot (120 degrees?) but other than that? *sigh*

I love rain and getting soaked.

I love rain, too. :) We usually spend part of our summers at my grandma's in Washington - so we get a lot of rain there.
