Once upon a time there was a very small town out in the middle of no where. The town is not very big and its population is not very large. Though it was extremely plain and dull and the worst thing is it was white! Imagine the plainest. The dullest, the whitest town you could ever imagine. Now while this image is still fresh in your mind triple the plainness, triple the dullness, and triple the whiteness and that is their town. The reason for this is the mayor of this small town does not like any color whatsoever except for white! They have white houses, white streets, even the sky is such a pale blue it almost looks white. Life was very dull live there especially is you were a girl named Silvia White. A few years ago Silvia’s parents moved away to find a circus and fulfill their life long dreams of becoming carnies. But as for Silvia, she had an extreme fear of clowns and could not force herself to go with them, so instead she lives with her Aunt and Uncle (which is what she calls them but actually has no idea how they are related). Silvia is11 years old and in 6th grade. There were only two schools in the tiny town. The first school taught Kindergarten through 12th grade. The second school was a college that taught people to be skilled painters so they could have jobs painting fences, houses, streets and occasionally trees, the color white of course. Anyways back to Silvia, she had no friends mostly because they thought she was weird and maybe a little pushy. You see Silvia was the only one at her school that wanted to leave this town and go somewhere else. She often argued about it with the other kids, but they would always tell her “Why would you ever want to leave? Here there are no thrills or danger and everything is so clean and white!” And Silvia would always argue back “Maybe I want some thrills, maybe I want to be dirty! And you know what; I don’t even like the color white!” And then Silvia would always storm home and complain to her Aunt and Uncle about the town, and about the people, and especially about the color white. One day when Silvia came home from school she was not in a particularly good mood after the latest argument she had had that day. Her aunt was waiting for her in the kitchen with some cookies (Because most people like to eat when they are upset). Silvia placed herself at their shiny white table with her aunt right next to her. Silvia went to reach for a cookie when her Aunt excitedly placed a letter right in front of her. Silvia had only received a letter once, and if was from her parents a few months ago telling her that they had found a wonderful circus to join, and Silvia was surprised to be getting another letter from them so soon. But when she looked at the return address it was not from her parent, it was from Rotten Moss Academy. Silvia looked at her aunt “What is Rotten Moss Academy?” she asked. Her Aunt just motion for her to open the letter, Silvia slowly opened the letter and started to read it aloud-
Dear Silvia White,
You have been accepted to Rotten Moss Academy Boarding school. Because your application was not receive in time you will have to start the school year a little late. You will be sharing a room with two girls your age, Eleanor and Nellie Potts. For more information please check the brochure.
Yours truly,
Principal Peabody
Silvia took the brochure out of the envelope. On the front there was a beautiful picture of the school. Silvia thought it looked like something in a fairy tale, of course all her fairy tale books looked like uncolored coloring books, but she didn’t care she was so happy! She was so exited that she started to do a happy dance all around the house, in the process making herself look like a maniac, but she didn’t mind. Suddenly two questions struck her “1. When do I leave? And 2. How do I get there?” she asked her Aunt. She couldn’t walk, she would surly die of thirst, and since there town was so small and so close together they didn’t have any need for cars. Silvia puzzled this for a few minutes, when her Aunt smiled at her and said “You know that big, long, white Shed? Well inside is a big, long, white bus that the mayor agreed to let you use” “and to answer you second question you will be leaving tomorrow morning bright and early”. Silvia gave her aunt a big hug and ran to her room to pack her things. The next morning Silvia and her Aunt and Uncle walked down to the big, long, white shed, and sure enough a big, long, white bus was parked right out side. “What a beautiful bus” her Aunt and Uncle exclaimed. Silvia didn’t say this out loud but she though the bus was rather ugly, but anything that was going to take her away from the horribly white place was good enough for her. She said her goodbyes and hopped on the bus. Only a few hours till she would be at Rotten Moss Academy.

Pretty good story. The only thing is, you seemed to switch back and forth between present and past tense. (not that I should talk I struggle with that too) Anway, good story and I look forward to seeing what else you will post! :)
