Home is Crying!

(This is a song that the dwarves sing in a book/story I’m writing….anyway, it’s dwarven!)

“Back from the mines

We are now coming.

Our day’s toil is done

For the sun is now leaving.

To here and home

Our tread is bearing.

Outside the land might be battling,

But here we keep gay and merry

As we come from the mines.

Yonder the moon is rising

Waving farewell to the sinking sun.

Here at day’s ending,

And night’s beginning,

The road is passing by.

We march under boughs

And over fallen logs,

All the while our song is not ending.

Stars are gleaming,

Moon is waxing,

Sun has sailed past the hills

And home is crying: hey, ho!

The sun has sailed past the hills.”

I loved the parts: "Outside the land might be battling" "the sun has sailed past our hills" . And, as a side note, when you said "dwarven song" I thought of that time when there was a dwarf on the Strange Show who sang... LOL. :D
Maybe soon I'll get a peek at the book?

I love dwarves!  This is wonderful!  I love the "hey, ho!" part too. :D  It feels very happy and dwarf-y and...I don't know, but it's just right. :)
