16.
Two people dance and sway in the night
The boy tells the girl to look in his eyes
In his arms, she trembles and tries not cry
She knows it’s the last night they’ll have in this life
-so close-
The girl watches this dream, wonders who they are
Then she sees herself, and he’s holding her heart
She never knew how much pain it would bring them to part
Not ‘til the moment under the stars…
17.
Mercy so relentless it died a criminal’s death
Love so jealous it overcame every rival for her heart
Throwing death itself into a grave
Rose a king, robed in blood to wash her clean
The difference between rebellion
(her)
and perfect obedience
(Him)
She lives in His death
18. just an ordinary moth
under the moon
now a cocoon
i will bloom soon.
suspended in sky
i’ll open my eye
then i will fly.
19.
Some is real, some is not.
You decide what is what.
Flip pages like an open door—
That’s what Anna’s madness’s for.
20. wingéd creatures
Faster and faster and faster I go
The swifter I fly the shorter I grow
One day I’ll be gone, I’ll just disappear
But at least I’ll have known this flight without fear

Anna, your Nonsense Poems are always a treat! I loved the one about the moth, and the last one... but I liked them all, really.
And LoriAnn.... How can you hate Lewis Carroll!? *eyes boggle out of head*
I love them all!
Especially 18 and 19. :-) Wait no, and 20...nah, they're all my faves. :-P

Um Anna, just one tiny question... WHEN are you posting DitH and Ardranath??????? (Especially Ardranath; I think I'm really gonna like that one.)

I'm glad y'all like them so
I'm glad y'all like them so much! Mostly I write them when I should be going algebra. :)
Maethorwen: I believe that it is. Thanks! BTW, I noticed you listen to Mr. Wickham-- excellent taste!
Erin: The first ever or the first in this post? It doesn't really matter as long as you like them. No. 16 is actually kind of a fanpoem, like a fanfic only poetry. The theme is from part of http://apricotpie.com/jemiteaser/the-rest-of-chapter-4-ghost-story.
Heather: I'm not sure what to think of that-- I've never read Mr. Carroll-- but I'm sure you meant it as a compliment. :)
LoriAnn: I will, I promise. :D
Bridget: What difference do you define between best and most, I'm curious?
And as to your second comment... I feel really guilty about this, especially as I bother others so much about posting, but I have very little in either of those stories, at least as next chapters go. The good news: All the time I haven't spent in those I've spent in other stories I hope you'll like as much!
Hannah: Coming from someone so amazing with words, that means so much!!
KatieSara: Thank you!

What difference do I define between best and most? In this case, nothing at all.

I love your Nonsense poetry. I'm pretty sure I've made this comparison between you and your poetry before, but these poems remind me of Shel Silverstein in a more...serious way.

Hoi.
What's with number sixteen, Anna? I had read all the others and I gave it a try, and it feels like you tricked me into reading it by hiding it amongst all the other good ones! You disappoint me! (It's more something I imagine Emily doing, or maybe me, if I would write stuff like that.)
Anyway, overall, they were great! Nonsense poems is a very fitting title. I have no idea who Lewis Carroll is, but is Shel Silverstein is great. You are definitely more serious then Mr. Silverstein.

The saddest thing
I ever did see
Was a woodpecker
Pecking on a plastic tree.
He looked at me
and said; "Friend, things
Aren't as sweet as they used to be."
