I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I believe that "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16).

I am a fandom nerd. I am a huge fan of the Star Wars Universe, J.R.R. Tolkien's works, and C.S. Lewis' The Chronicles of Narnia. My favorite authors (apart from the authors I just mentioned) are Laura Ingalls Wilder, Lucy Maud Montgomery, Louisa May Alcott, Agatha Christie, Eric Metaxas, Lee Strobel, Jules Verne, Timothy Zahn, James Herriot, and Alexandre Dumas.

I enjoy studying (as in ALL my subjects, although writing and history are my favorites), speech and debate (where I met the friend who dragged me onto this site...;) ), listening to awesome music (e.g., movie soundtracks, contemporary Christian songs, and Mandopop—also known as C-pop, or Chinese pop), inventing food combinations that virtually everyone finds gross for some odd reason (ketchup on French toast or pork slices on brownies, anyone?), reading, drawing, DIY-ing, trivia, correcting poor grammar, pointing out plot holes and inconsistencies in movies and books, dispelling misconceptions people have about homeschoolers (or about anything in general, really—I'm not terribly picky about what I'm picky about), being "that" annoying person who finds fault with everything (but don't worry, I'm quite sure that I'm not as obnoxious to be around as, say, Gollum), and—as you've probably realized by now—being exceptionally verbose when I wish.
