This poem is dedicated to Kassady and HomeschoolGirl. I was not going to publish this on the web until I got it copyrighted as a part of my poetry collection, but I decided to make an exception with this poem. This is a thank you for always commenting on my work! This poem I wrote a while ago and it is based off of the movie Prince of Persia. It is about Dastan's and Tamina's love and destiny. I saw one of Kassady's comments that said about really liking the movie. Hopefully you both like this poem then! Thanks again!

The fates they bind

our destinies intertwined,

the time to act is nigh.

From the days of old,

our hands they hold,

the future and time gone by.

For the sake of all

we must heed the call,

and push past all our fears.

We must endure the pain,

the scorn and shame,

and dry away our tears.

Our death we must face

with strength and grace,

if that is where this will lead.

For those who are near,

and all we hold dear,

will give us the courage we need.

Only time will tell

if this will end well,

if we will live to see the night.

If help from above,

and faith in our love,

can see us through this fight.

For we can’t forget,

or just simply let,

our memories fade away.

For a love so sure,

so true and pure,

time will never decay.
