Who am I?
That I have gone away the same and have come back new
Changing in a blink of an eye
Or have I just changed what I do
Who am I?
That my eyes see different than what I saw
A person shining more beautiful than the moon’s light
Someone who always protected me who I never knew before
Who am I?
That my ears hear things that I never heard
A sweet voice of praise that made me cry
And made me kneel
Who am I?
That my mouth no longer speaks profane
But speaks words of kindness, love, mercy, and healing
I seem as if I had been tamed
Who am I?
That my hands touch no ungodly things
But help touching lives
Am I different now?
Who am I?
That my feet go nowhere
But where my Father directs me and I don’t lie
Is there more I can say?
Who am I?
That my feelings have changed
I have felt a great love that is so great I cannot die
Who is He who gives me this?
Who am I?
That I don’t care what people think of me
And I understand who I am inside
People ask so often question that
Who am I?
That my heart is changed also
And know everybody asks why
Is that all I am?
A follower who walks beneath the angel’s trod
Who am I?
I am a child of God.
