One of God's most wonderful gifts is color. Lately I have been fascinated by color, especially how different colors create different feelings. Red, orange, and yellow make things look warm, even hot. They remind me of autumn. Green blue and purple are colder colors. White makes things look lighter, and black is the opposite.
I often wonder why we associate different things with different colors. Pink is considered feminine, perhaps because it is delicate. White is associated with purity, goodness, and angels, while sin, evil, and demons are black. Purple used to be worn only be royalty, and is a very regal color. Grey is fairly dull and drab. Pastel colors are usually at baby showers. Hunter green, navy, and maroon are very country-ish and rustic. I prefer bright bold colors. If you could see my room, you would know this. (We are painting it a nice bright yellow.)
Too often we take these gorgeous colors for granted. Imagine is you were blind or color blind. Perhaps while we are taking time to smell the roses, we should take time to notice their lovely color as well.
