The PostCard

Vivid colors of far-off places
Dancing along with happy faces
Ink spotted from salty air
Far away from this mountain lair
And signed by friends in distant spaces

Pictures presented of world travels
Places I long to see unveiled
I smile in delight at the shiny cards
Symbolistic of adventurers start
Posted from across the world

My smile fades and I look around
Same old place, same old town
Insecurities, responsibilities,
Life grounded in adiposity
Worries and clutter abound

Safe travels

Feet up on the dash
Wiggling my toes
10 splashes of Kiss Me Coral
- orangey sparkly rose –
Delight me so
Fresh cotton smell,
Tickles my nose
Pillow warmed from the sun
Smashed against the window

dude!

ten years ago, my mom turned to my dad. lets travel, she said.how do i like it? prety good, seeing as i have felt the frost of the pacific on my fingertips. i have seen gyzers and pools of boiling water at yellowstone. i have parasailed in the atlantic. i have been close to area 51, and seen the large array. i have rode dirtbikes and quads in michigan. i have crossed over the mexican border. i have watched niagra falls and wonderd what is it like to be powerfull. i have put my hand on the bark of the tallest trees and listend to the Quietness of the redwood forest.
