More Than I Can Imagine

“More Than I Can Imagine”

I love the one who has always existed.

The one who I can always rely upon.

The one who never breaks a promise.

The one who I know, no matter what I do,

He will always love me more than I can imagine.

I doubted, but now I know

That makes you stronger.

In this life, I wonder what my prupose is.

But as I look in the sky, my worries fade

And I know he there for me.

When fear swirles around me,

Rainbow; an acronym

Rainbow

(An acronym)

Rain is falling to the ground,

Anywhere and everywhere I see water dripping down.

I look up and search the sky of clouds.

Now I see a place where sun beams fall through,

Brilliant shades of red, orange, yellow, green, and the rest,

One after the first flowing in a breathtaking arch of colors,

Wonderful and glorious is God’s great creation,

I AM, I am not

We all want to be many things. For example, I want to be, firstly, a writer. Also, I want to be a beekeeper, sail-boater, published author, botanist, and possibly mother someday. And the list keeps growing.

But with all these ideas, interests, and ambitions comes discouragement, because it is very easy to let that mean little voice inside tell you, "You can't do that." And you... you believe that little voice. It is hard to squash it.

Song to Stone

Look at the faces of the lonely cliffs
staring out at the sea
they raise their eyes at night
to glimpse the stars

Look at the faces of crumbling boulders
that say, come, and rest on me
they burrow down in moss
and muddy ground

Look at the faces of earnest, brave pebbles
laughing in rushing cold creek
they dance and spin in light
and water smooth

Look at the faces of silvery-cool rocks
resting in the shade of a tree
they look out at the green
and sigh so sweet

Love

Love is deeper than a fairyland happily ever after,
Love is the sacrifice of Father into Savior.

Love is deeper than the dreamy thing for which every girl pines,
Love is the pity in the Healers eyes.

Love is deeper than the ‘I love you’ words,
Love is when from sickness, by Him, we are nursed.

Love is deeper than bride and groom,
Love is the first Eucharist in that old room.

Love is deeper than something dizzy and light,
Love is the fall onto knees even when He had the might.

Lenten Prayer

Incense rises to the sky
Carrying all the pain and cries

Bringing to God our joys and our pleas
As the billowing smoke upkeeps

It goes to heights unseen by us
But to believe is enough

And for a moment all stands still
Hushing fear, cries, and will

As silently it blows and climbs
It traces our tears within its lines
We sit with calm and close our eyes
To slip with the smoke past space and time

Focusing now on the wounded head
True love’s completion never ends

o sweet exchange
which takes my heart and gives me Yours
the white host asks the question
“will you lose yourself for Me?”
o blessed hope
heart hallowed, held, unhindered
says “Amen”
tear out from me myself
pour into me Your life-blood
and the kiss of the host on my lips, my tongue
says I am not my own
and in the loss of myself, I am found

redemption

Submitted by Aisling on Tue, 03/24/2009 - 18:19

when my fears
have worn me out
and worn me thin
can I crawl up on Your lap
and fall asleep there
until I can breathe again?

when my dreams
have left me cold
and all alone
can I run into Your arms
and learn to bear it
until I can dream again?

and when my love
breaks my heart
and takes me apart
can I come in close to You
and touch Your wounds
until my pain makes me one with You
and brings me back to life again?

There shall be an Eastern dawn.
There shall be a day.
Even though it be far from here,
And I cannot see the way.

High above these clouds I see,
There is the endless sky,
For which the soul forever dreams,
In which the spirit flies.

I trust the Maker of the stars,
The Maker of all light.
He will guide me though my paths
May lead through darkest night.

Though I may feel trapped, defeated,
Underneath these stormy bars,
I know that even though ‘tis night,
In the sky are many stars.
