Songs and tales fall utterly short: Desolation of Smaug thoughts
Truly songs and tales fall utterly short of the reality, O Smaug the Chiefest and greatest of Calamities.”

Seriously, there's not a single titan in the whole show! I know, I know, it sounds cooler...
Clash of the Titans was a fun movie, and if you want to see it at all you should definitely see it on the big screen. Liam Neeson rocks and Hades, though evil, was way cool. The witches were spot on, and though they might seem reminiscent of Pan's Labyrinth, the eye thing IS originally from the myth. I did like some of the interpretations, and I know that Greek mythology by its very nature allows for tweaking, but:
***Ok, so this is probably the worst "essay" ever written. It's based off of a silly conversation me and my sisters frequently take up. We're huge fans of both movies. ::) Soo . . . enjoy this *cough* horribly written paper! ::D ***
Bear with me, I know it's kinda long....and anyone who hasn't seen the movie, you can read it if you want to, but please be warned it DOES have spoilers. And I'm warmly welcoming discussion on it...and I want to see if there's anyone else who feels like I do regarding the movie vs the book.
The Golden Compass is not a good movie. And I know why:
1. They are trying to kill God
2. There so called good animal spirits connected to them are called daemons and the bad guys are trying to seperate it from them.
3. The witches are supposedly good.
4. They mock Catholics in the movie.
5. The maker is an Athesist
6. The movie is atheistic and FOR KIDS.
Good question. Who am I? Let's explore.
My name is Amara; I'm enduring my 16th year; I live in Oklahoma with two parents and four younger siblings. That's me in a nutshell... but I wonder. Is that really me?
I've told you a little of the real me already. I get quite a kick out of turning simple things - such as an introduction to myself - into deep discussions. I generally carry out these conversations in the privacy of my own mind, but sometimes a line or a phrase escapes my lips and I get a few weird looks.
