Fire

Song of the Things that I Always Will Be

Submitted by Hannah W. on Thu, 01/15/2009 - 04:08

Breathless darkness,
sparks in the air
Scattering stars
wind in my hair

Tumbling through fields,
light touch of feathers
Song of the earth
echoes forever

Heartbeat and dirt,
trees sway in the night
Shadows and flame
glowing orange, bright

Smell of the forest
cool air on my cheeks,
running, heart soaring
no words do I speak

Orion the Brave,
with his arrows and bow
he hunts in the sky
and the way he does show

A Knight On The Old North Shore

Submitted by Mary on Mon, 11/17/2008 - 21:50

'Twas a dark gray night on the old North Shore
- And the wind and the waves were wild -
That the black-caped traveler came to her door
And begged to rest a while.

An hour's rest from the savage wind
She dared deny no man,
So graciously she asked him in
To sit and warm his hands.

She stirred the fire and bade him sit
Before the merry blaze.
Sit he did, and stared at it
With a lost and distant gaze.

Slain

Slain

Shatters of the Conscience,
the broken splintered sort
The creaking moaning anguish,
that froze my barren heart
Why does silence shatter,
the Ice that tasted sweet?
The coldest forms of "Wisdom",
that "wisdom" brought defeat
Warmth erased the selfish lies,
on the thick and lifeless slate
The harmful words of mine,
put on hateful waste
The sinful kind of sadness,
that tastes painfully sweet
Explodes to silent screaming,
of Love that shakes with heat
