Tass -Pt. 31

We interrupt this story to bring you an urgent update about the author.

The motion lights flickered on outside, illuminating a figure with a pitchfork. Soon, it was revealed that she was not alone in her protest.

Leaving the family to answer the front door, Tahlia slipped on her coat, picked up her backpack, and went downstairs. She opened the door right next to her bed, stepping out, hoping desperately that she wouldn't be seen. Just as she was about to make her escape into the nearby woods, she was spotted.

She started running. Jumping over branches, dodging vines, avoiding fallen trees -she didn't dare turn on her flashlight.

Tahlia stopped behind a large tree and dropped her backpack, trying to catch her breath.

Maybe they'll pass me and I can head out the other way -

A flashlight in her eyes cut off her thoughts.

Oh great.

"Tass. Is. Coming. Back."

"Why? You've got Tace. Tass is happy where he's at -"

"Oh you and your head! Bring him back!"

"Tass had to be replaced sometime -"

"I've got kerosene. And a small army. And we're willing to attack you with a pitchfork and a rooster. Bring him back."

And now we take you back to the story.
