I joined the site earlier this year at the request of my sister, whose pen name is 'Eirian West'. She really liked the site when she joined (2/27/10) and all the things that were being written here. So I came on board as well.
I loved it. There were just so many well-written stories, funny stories, beautiful poetry -I posted some of one of my stories here for a while."
But then I sort of neglected the site. I had things to do in our house of thirteen people -eleven kids, none adopted. One had arrived just a few months before. Schoolwork needed to be done. So did chores. I had another story I was doing for a writing group. AP slowly faded from my mind.
Until Eirian yanked my chain and got me back on board. She wanted be to read some stuff she had posted/wanted to post. So I did.
I switched stories. I started two new ones -the ideas had been floating around in my head for a while. One started from a dream I had, like most of mine do. The other was rather random, but it seemed to be the most popular -Tass.
I had no trouble writing the story of Rynere -and through it, Tass's. The other one -Clues -sort of drifted off as it was less time-consuming to write Tass.
Then I got an email in my inbox about an AP announcement. I clicked on it and to my great dismay read that it was closing down at the end of October -only about 8 months after I joined.
Our family's arrived at the new school year. What posting I'm able to do will probably slow down -I'm a junior now with more work than ever. I'll do what I can. I like Tass just as much as some of you seem to. I want to keep him around for as long as possible.
But when AP does shut down -I probably won't be finished the story. For those of you who might want it when I can't put it up on the site anymore:
