Does it ever make any sense when you have an imagination stocked full of characters, worlds, adventures, magic and ideas but yet you think to yourself, "I can't think of anything to write!"?
Why? I ask myself. I have created worlds upon worlds full of fantasy and adventure, characters upon characters of detail and mystery, ideas upon ideas of love, dreams, disasters and sorrow. But when I sit down to post my writings on apricotpie, why do I sit and think, "I don't know what to write about!"
I'm ashamed of myself really. I look at all these writing patriarchs only a year older than me that have produced tens of stories, poems and essays and I look at myself and say, "You lazy Facebook/TV addict!"
Maybe the reason I can't think of any ideas at the time is because my ideas are scrambled all over the place in Microsoft Documents and some haven't been written down. But why does it take me 10 minutes to think of three sentences to write?
Sometimes I wish that we could skip the outline and planning process of books and just tell stories. But of course, in order to post a good story for review to my fellow writers, I need to plan, outline, write and rewrite.

You have a very good solid
You have a very good solid point. I haven't heard of many other prewriting plans. Only the usual Plan first writing process thought. The OYAN (One Year Adventure Novel) curriculum is helping me through a outlining method. But thank you, I will try some new ideas.
I think the title should
I think the title should actually be, "So Many, Yet So Few." :-)
Grammar aside, I can truly sympathize. I think all of us here know what it's like to have dozens of ideas and still "nothing to write about." Sometimes it really does help to just write down everything that comes to mind when it's still fresh, and worry about structure later. On the other hand, simply writing without a overarching goal can be pointless.
Hmm, that didn't sound very helpful. I think I need to be receiving advice myself, not giving it! Anyway, blessings on your writing attempts!

You know, there are a lot of different ways of getting things written. Some people really like outlines but for me, they kill my creativity. They kind of make me bored of the story before I even write the first sentence, because part of the fun for me is finding out all these twists and turns about the plot and characters as I go along. Of course, the first draft always ends up being crazy, but not outlining allows me to explore more and not feel so stifled. I guess that means my first drafts are kind of like really long outlines with a few nice metaphors thrown in.
But anyway, maybe if you tried a bunch of different ways of writing/prewriting, you could find one that you like and then you might be able to do a lot more. I know how you feel though. I have a lot of one-sentence, title-only, or even two-word documents sitting around collecting theoretical dust.....
