Chapter Two

1. And at last, the day before her seventeenth birthday came, and she was merry and rejoiced greatly in her heart.

2. And, lo, she did come upon a door, secretive and hidden from all until this day.

3. And she opened it on her birthday, and looked in, and there was a flight of stairs, and they led up unto a door.

4. And Aurora climbed the stairs, and did open the door, and looked in.

5. And behold, she saw a woman of old age, sitting on a stool, spinning, yet Aurora knew not what it was.

6. For her father, when she was born, had ordered all spinning wheels to be burned, so that Aurora had never seen nor heard of them.

7. And she came up to her and asked her what she was doing, and why she was there.

8. And she answered her, 'I am spinning upon a spinning wheel, and I am here because I can spin nowhere else.'

9. Now this thing perplexed Aurora, so that she inquired of her if she might spin herself.

10. And the old woman asked her, 'Now, thou shalt spin.' and she showed Aurora how she might go about it.

11. And Aurora did what she was told, and yea, she pricked her finger upon the spinning wheel, so that she fell down, and slept a deep sleep.

I think this was the best chapter yet!!

You used a variety of different words and it makes such a difference!

Great job...and it was almost too short.

"It is not the length of life, but the depth of life." Ralph Waldo Emerson

Thank you, Megan. I think I have to agree, although it is too short as you said :(

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths

I meant it was too short because I wanted more, NOT because the chapter's length was too short, Sarah. The lengths of your chapters are fine.

Oh and you have the next chapter titled as Chapter Two. Isn't it really supposed to be three...? You might want to fix that ;)
